This month's mystery item is a fireman's spanner wrench. It's purpose is
simple: It's used to attach and detach fire hoses from fire hydrants.
This one was produced by the Akron Brass Manufacturer Co, patent
1925. It's not surprising that these handy tools are still used today.
They originally came in a variety of shapes and sizes - and they still
