It took 6 months for someone to correctly identify May 2012's mystery item. We had a hunch it was a scoring tool, but we weren't sure what industry it was used in. Turns out it's used to score laminate and vinyl flooring.

Specifically, it's used to form corners when flooring is being taken up the side of a wall. We found this one on numerous websites as part of an inside cove corner kit.
