This month, we did something completely different. This month's item is a mystery to us. We have some ideas about
what it might be, but we can't say for sure with any certainty.
The handle is affixed with a bent piece of steel. The end contains a 1" pipe coupling filled with molten lead. The flip side
contains a plug. Neither face is completely flat. It's 10" long; there are no markings. It's
clearly homemade. Click here for a side view, or here to enlarge the pic shown.
So tell us, what do you think it is, or what might it have been used
for? We bought it at the flea market here in Nashville. The seller
wasn't able to provide any information about its origins or its use.
Congratulations to Glen S. of Nashville, TN, who identified this month's item!
