This month's mystery item was once used by pharmacists. Specifically, it is an Applebaum Suppository Machine, patented in 1924. Years ago, suppositories and other healing articles were made by hand by pharmacists. It was a tedious procedure that was timely and, therefore, costly. Breakage only increased costs.
