This month's mystery item is a broom vise, used to hold a broom in place while twine or thread is interwoven to hold the broom together.
We met Nick Ratliff (pictured) at the Nashville Flea Market. He tells us there are only about 200 folks in the U.S. who still practice this craft - and he knows his stuff.
