The pictures for this box came from Portrait of Nepal,
a book of photographs by Kevin Bubriski, who spent much of the mid-1980's documenting the people of the region. For
alternate views, click the links below. The sides, which aren't shown,
are flanked with maps of the region.
The pictures for this box came from Josef Koudelka's Gypsies, a
book of black and white photos documenting separated Gypsy settlements
in East Slovakia from 1962-1968. For alternate views, click the links

Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907- 1954) is one of my favorites. She
contracted polio at age 6 and nearly died in a car accident in her
teens. She lived in pain, seen in much of her work. For alternate views,

I recently got tickets to see my idol, Bob Dylan, at the Ryman. A box
was the perfect way to channel my excitement. Click the links below for
alternate views.
I'm partial to pinup art, but Betty Page is a little different. Not only
was she a trailblazer, but she is also an alum of my alma mater. For

The Sumerians lived in Mesopotamia
from 3,500 to 2,000 BC. I have a friend who is a big Sumerian buff. The pics on this box came from his website: www.sumerianshakespeare.com. Click the links below for alternate views.
Another tribute to Frida Kahlo. The pictures for both Frida boxes were taken from Frida Kahlo Beneath the Mirror, by Gerry Souter. For alternate views, click the links below.
I made this box for my husband's son, who likes to run marathons. I also did the interior sides on this one. For alternate views, click the links below.
