Just in time for Halloween, the theme of this box is masks. The pictures came from a book titled Masquerade, The Mask as Art, by
Maurice Tuchman. Look closely and you'll see that each picture is of an
actual mask.
July brings the MLB All-Star game, the Home Run Derby, and a tribute box to America's greatest past time. The photos come from 100 Baseball Icons,
by Terry Heffernan, Kit Hinrichs, and Delphine Hirasuna. The sides of

In one of my first decoupage attempts, I used magazines as a medium. The lesson? Moist, thin paper
wrinkles terribly and is more vulnerable to allow bleeding (e.g., from polyurethane). The cardboard box (all the others are wood) didn't help A lot of mistakes revealed
themselves, and so did many lessons.
The number of themes for decoupage projects is endless. This was my
first attempt at using actual photographs - and they work great
(provided you're not rounding corners with them)! This was also the
first time I played with borders. The border on this box is from the
